DA CATS
I won't share all of my life with the internet anymore like I used to, but I will share pictures of my cats.
Watch this space for when I get organized.
Knives and Skooma were brother and sister, and were born in the summer of 2017 in a field somewhere in southern Maryland. My spouse and I adopted them and they filled our lives with more love than we ever thought possible. We lost Skooma suddenly in October of 2023, but Knives is still with us.
Skooma was a luxurious lush, who loved to sleep in the sun and was extremely photogenic. We miss him dearly.
Knives is queen of the night, and while very sweet, she is often very standoffish and is constantly in goblin mode. We wouldn't have her any other way. She's barely 7 pounds, but she's petite (the word runt was not used) and the vets have told us this is her normal.
We adopted Iskierka in November of 2023, since our house felt so empty and was well equipped to handle two cats. Isky is shy, and was in the Baltimore pet adoption system as a surrender for a month when we chanced going into a local PetSmart and we went home with her. When she saw us, she headbutted the plexiglass so hard. She's very headbutt. She will headbutt my face when I go in to kiss her head and I'll end up with a bruised lip, that's how affectionate she is.
